Relaxation

While I was doing this exercise I became very relaxed and was amazed at the feeling in my arms and hands. The first feeling I had was a tingling feeling in my hands. This soon changed to a clammy feeling and then a heavy feeling. I found it funny that while visualizing the blood flowing from my stomach it began to gargle, was I hungry or was that the blood flow change making this happen? After finishing this exercise I was very relaxed and ready to go. This was not my first relaxation exercise, I have an app on my phone that I sometimes do while waiting in my car for my daughter at the bus stop. By taking a minutes to do this exercise it helps refresh me to begin the second half of my day as mother, wife, and soccer coach. I would really like to see more people take a minute to do this and see how it can decrease stress and promote relaxation.

  1. I would also like to see more people take advantage of this simple and quick method for taking a moment to relax. We are all so busy, it is easy to overlook the benefit of "taking a moment." I had not realized how tense I was until I start directing the relaxation. A bonus was with relieving of a dull ache that had been plaguing my shoulders and neck.
